Back Home

Wow..what a city! Hong Kong makes you feel so small being surrounded by skyscrapers and the huge mass of people. I could spend four impressive days here and was able to celebrate New Year for a second time, as China celebrates on January 23 this year. The year of the dragon has started. Happy New Year! But now for me it’s time to go back home to Switzerland. I’ll leave the country behind, but I’ll take the memories with me.

It might be the end of this trip, but not the end of my website. I’ll let you know as soon as I plan my next trip.

Auckland

Goodbye New Zealand!

In a few hours, I’ll catch a plane to Hong Kong. I’ll be for my first time in the Asian continent. I’m excited! But before leaving, I enjoy every last minute of this day here in New Zealand (that’s why my plane leaves at 23.59). I just had a big seafood platter. Delicious. I just hope it’s not gonna try climb up again or cause me similar problems than I had when I was in Tahiti.

Thanks again to Patric, we spent three very exciting and funny weeks together and I’m sure he’s gonna have as much fun here as I did. Enjoy it!

New Zealand by bike

Ride to New Year

After cycling around 1700km and a few km by train, bus, car and hiking I arrived in Queenstown, at the end of my cycling trip. On Friday I will catch a plane that takes me back to Auckland, where I’ll spend three more weeks with Pede before going home to Switzerland.

I had two amazingly beautiful months here in New Zealand. An unforgettable time! And I would like to thank everybody who was part of my trip and shared those moments with me, everybody who supported me both here and at home. And I’m grateful that I was able to travel like this and to finish this first part being healthy and happy.
